Robustly constructed in high
quality stainless steel, it quickly and quietly dries up to eight
(8) GI endoscopes at a time and, importantly, then provides a
germ-free storage environment for the scopes and accessories as
a 'unique' set. The scopes are dried both inside and out at the
correct temperature using HEPA 99.999% filtered sterile-air to
prevent recontamination.
No need to redisinfect for 7 days
Scopes are ready for use for up to 7 days* directly
from the cabinet, whether for routine or emergency operations,
without the need for further disinfection. Traditionally scopes
have been hung-up to 'drip-dry' - however this method is very
unsatisfactory as micro-organisms can develop in just a few hours
and the scope then has to be disinfected again before use. In
contrast the new Fibro- Dryer will help to ensure that decontaminated
scopes are available round the clock for immediate use.
Track & Trace and Process verification
Latest FD8 version (FD8E) is fitted with
a bar code reader for tracking and traceability of the scopes.
It also has independent process verification recorder to give
validation and verification in line with the essential requirements
of both HTM2030 and EN ISO 15883. The cycle data can be printed
out and also captured and viewed via a PC.
The
FD8 is best used in conjunction with the Fibro-Trolley system, the
FT4 & FT8.
